Meg McLean is a painter and children’s illustrator living in the hills of New Hampshire.

She considers herself primarily a landscape painter, drawn to the human elements in the countryside which impart a sense of history and a connection to another time. Or maybe she just likes the look of old stone walls and abandoned houses.

She also considers herself a sheep painter, a much rarer genre. After years of living on a farm surrounded by them, she finds sheep are as skillful at nosing into her work as they are at ambling into the wrong pasture.
